House Parties 2004!

This is the big party weekend we have here every year. This year I attended house parties with the lovely Laura K. as my date for Friday and I went with friends on Saturday and Sunday. The major band we had here was Maroon 5 and other highlights included Nine-days, The Collective, and the Sam & Josh band.

Us at Campus club.

Appetizer: Teriyaki marinated chicken sticks with garden greens wrapped in a giant cucumber slice.

There's Chuck and Rebecca on the right, with Spring on the left. Just to let you check out the table settings. There's two types of wine and bottled carbonated water on every table. A very nice flower centerpiece. Different types of spiced baked bagels and breads with dipping sauces.

And of course, candles.

Dinner consisted of beef tenderloin, herbed mashed potatoes, asparagus, and soy sauce marinated baby carrots.

In candlelight, it was good.

And of course the dessert table. Though not as elaborate as last year's, it was still good. We have snickers pie on the top left (bottom layer of pie crust, followed by caramel nougat, peanuts, creme layer, chocolate top, and more peanuts). Cinnemon chocolate cake next, not sure what's in it. A thick chocolate cake (deep satisfying chocolate taste, smooth).

I'm not sure what the next pie is. Then there's carrot cake, banana cream cake, another unidentified cake, and more snickers pie.

Of course I missed most of dessert due to a Firehazards archsing, but its ok, I had fun.

Then there was the Sam and Josh band.

They were fun guys, but that guy just couldn't play trombone, and their drum set kept falling apart.

Ya, dude, they were funny and pretty awesome.

Maroon 5.

They played out by Quad. It was great for people watching from my balcony.

Their drummer was injured so they performed accoustics.

What's with all the girls who think they are Paris Hilton?

How many fashion faux-pas can you spot in this photo? Oh well, that's house parties for you.
