Welcome to New Mexico!

This is what I did for fall break. Our Geo 314 class, Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, went to New Mexico to do some field work and collect samples for our term projects. You can follow the story below or check out some cool wallpaper pics!

Day 1!

Our first day was basically travel from Princeton to New Mexico. Basically a flight over from Philadelphia to St.Louis onto Albuquerque, eventually reaching Ghost Ranch.

Day 2. Valles Caldera

The Valles Caldera is a very large Caldera to the west of Los Alamos. We drove around in there for a while. I collected some samples of what appear to be spheres of some rhyolitic material.
