The Morocco Expedition- 2005

From January 15th through February 3rd, 2005, I took a trip to Morocco with my field partner Maia Schwiezer. The purpose of this trip, other than to add another continent and country to our list, was to collect field samples for my senior thesis. The topic of my senior thesis is on trilobite paleo-environments from the Anti-Atlas mountain regions. This area is the source of the extraordinary large well-preserved trilobite fossils that have been flooding global fossil markets. My senior thesis intends to find out why this area is so productive. Here are the pictures from the trip.
